New and reimagined regions
World of Warcraft: Forever has both new zones and updated, expanded existing zones. There is no full view of them yet, but Blizzard showed some highlights. Your adventure runs across the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, with more than a thousand new quests across the level 1 to 60 journey.
The four highlights
- Mount Hyjal: explore the aftermath of Archimonde's defeat, travel through Darkwhisper Gorge and help a recovering land.
- Shen'dralas: between Mulgore and Desolace lies a long-hidden mystery tied to the Shen'dralar, Eldre'Thalas, Dire Maul and the centaur tribes of the region.
- Riverglades: a rugged frontier of rivers, grasslands, trade routes, struggling communities and old grudges. More than 150 new quests cover much of the mid-30s to mid-40s.
- Zephras Isle: an elemental, skybound starting experience for levels 1 to 12, blending classic Warcraft aesthetics with architecture inspired by Skywall.

Home of the Skyborne
Zephras is also home to the Skyborne, a new playable race. At character creation you choose whether they join the Horde or the Alliance. Horde-aligned Skyborne embrace elemental traditions and gain access to the Shaman class, while Alliance-aligned Skyborne pursue the arcane legacy of their ancestors and gain access to the Mage class.
