Our goal
Forever Guides should be usable by everyone, including with a screen reader, keyboard only, zoom or reduced motion. We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, build our own controls after the WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices, and check new features with automated tests and by hand.
Conformance status
This statement is voluntary and provisional. The German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) exempts micro-enterprises that provide services (Section 3(3) BFSG), and Forever Guides is a free hobby project run by one person. We partly meet the requirements of WCAG 2.2 level AA. No third party has audited or certified the site, and we do not claim full conformance. The basis is our self-assessment of 3 October 2026.
Known limitations
- The travel map has more than 100 keyboard stops; the lists next to it hold the same information.
- In the talent editor, removing a point by touch works only in removal mode or by resetting the tree.
- The calendar still has gaps: focus can be lost after the last waitlist entry of a group is confirmed, and some error messages are announced twice.
- The cookie banner does not switch language together with the page language.
- Column headings in the footer and menus are not marked up as headings.
- We have not completed our manual screen reader checks (VoiceOver, NVDA) yet.
- The images in the location guessing game are puzzles. They have only a short description without the place, and the map is hidden from screen readers. The solution appears as text after the guess.
- Embedded content from third parties (videos, Wowhead tooltips) is outside our control.
