Skyborne and elves can talk across factions

A shared language across factions

World of Warcraft: Forever introduces the new Skyborne race. They start out together and later split into two factions: the High Order Skyborne (Alliance) and the Windshaper Skyborne (Horde). It turns out the feuding groups can communicate in game, and with other elves too.

On the Classic WoW subreddit, a user showed a chat with a player of the opposing faction. Both were speaking Darnassian. By selecting that language, which all Skyborne currently have access to, players can write to each other across enemy lines.

Intended or a bug?

Whether this is intentional remains unclear. It could be a bug stemming from all Skyborne starting in the same place. Blizzard has previously been strongly against blurring the lines between Alliance and Horde too much, and the ability would go against established game mechanics. Many players praise it for roleplay and worldbuilding flavor.

For now it works: if you play an elf and meet a Skyborne of the opposing faction out in the world, you can try it yourself.
