Professions in WoW: Forever: Recipe Tracking, Profession Linking and New Filters
- 1 min read
More comfort for professions
WoW: Forever ships with several handy improvements for professions. Three stand out: recipes can be tracked, your entire profession book can be linked in chat, and new filters make the recipe list easier to search.

Track recipes
When you open your profession window, a new checkbox sits at the bottom next to "Create All". Tick it and the materials required for that recipe are tracked on the right side of the screen, much like a quest.
That helps you remember what you still need while shopping at the Auction House or farming materials out in the open world.

Tracked materials at a glance
The tracked reagents show up as their own list on the screen edge, similar to the quest tracker. You no longer have to keep reopening the profession window to check what the recipe still needs.

Link your profession book in chat
In WoW: Forever you can send your whole profession book to other players. In the profession window, a small chat bubble sits to the right of your skill bar. Clicking it opens a menu that links the profession book in the chat channel of your choice.
Anyone who clicks the link can see your profession skill and the recipes you know.
New filters for 600+ new recipes
Because WoW: Forever adds over 600 new recipes, new filters help you sift through the list:
- Has skill up: shows only recipes that can still raise your profession skill.
- Have materials: shows only what you can craft right now.
- Slots: filters by a specific gear slot, such as trinkets or created items.
- Search bar: the direct route when you already know the name.
