Are dungeon quests still worth it?

Excavation Site: Wetlands is a new dungeon in World of Warcraft: Forever and comes with quests of its own. The experience from dungeon quests was reduced in the latest beta build, yet they remain worth picking up on the way to level 30, not least for the gear.

Wowhead keeps a list that grows with beta findings. All quests mentioned have level 24.

Where the quests start

  • Changing Tastes: Borstan, the Cooking trainer in Orgrimmar.
  • Open the Maw: Deathstalker Agent, hiding in the hills near the entrance.
  • Highland Hides: James Halloran in Menethil Harbor. You must complete Daily Delivery first.
  • Songblade Search: Dorin Songblade in Redridge Mountains.
  • Horrors in the Highland: Rethiel the Greenwarden in the Wetlands. It requires the chain The Greenwarden up to Blisters on the Land.
  • Lost in the Thicket Things: Caitlin Grassman in Menethil Harbor. The breadcrumb quest Seeking Caitlin can be picked up in Ashenvale from Llana.

Follow-ups and rewards

The last boss drops a Titan Relic that starts a follow-up quest. On the Horde side these are Elder Knowledge and then Earthen Echo, on the Alliance side Lost Relic Carry and then Prehistoric Prism. They offer three rewards to choose from: a cloak that differs by faction and several weapons.

Both factions can earn a trinket. The Horde gets it from Changing Tastes, the Alliance from Heartwoven, a follow-up to Lost in the Thicket Things. Wowhead deliberately does not spoil its effects.
